Queen Victoria School (QVS) is a co-educational Boarding School funded by the Ministry of Defence to provide stable and uninterrupted education and boarding to some 270 children of Service personnel, from ages 10/11 to 18. The School is set in 45 acres of beautiful Perthshire countryside.
We are currently looking to appoint a Teacher of English who shares our core values which are set out clearly in the attached Job Pack. The role will include teaching and coordinating the delivery of English studies across all secondary year groups. You will support the Principal Teacher of English & Language to enhance provision and will have the opportunity to be involved with exciting project work throughout the year. Applicants must be well qualified graduates with sound communication and time management skills. Applicants must be registered with GTC(Scotland) and Disclosure Scotland Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG), prior to taking up the post.
The salary is based on SNCT Pay Scales. A commitment to boarding school life, including taking part in extra- curricular activities, is essential. Previous experience in sports coaching, the Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) Award Scheme or Combined Cadet Force (CCF) would be desirable.
