Glasgow Partnership
NHS Health Scotland is a national Health Board working to reduce health inequalities and improve health. We are part of NHSScotland, which consists of
- 14 regional Health Boards which are responsible for the delivery of frontline healthcare services and for the protection and improvement of their population's health
- 7 special Health Boards and one public health body (Healthcare Improvement Scotland) which support the regional boards by providing a range of important specialist and national services.
Our main roles are to
- provide evidence of what works to reduce health inequalities
- work across all sectors in Scotland to put this evidence into action
- support national and local policy makers to design and evaluate interventions that help build a fairer, healthier Scotland.
