About the role

Scotland Excel are seeking experienced leaders to take up new senior positions within the Strategic Commissioning Team.

Two new service manager roles have been created following a restructure within Scotland Excel to increase capacity at a senior level to work in the challenging but rewarding area of social care procurement and commissioning. The successful candidates will have responsibility for two category areas and teams comprising commissioning and procurement professionals.

There are two roles available:

Service Manager- Adult Social Care

(Ref: ASC-SM-0724-04)

The Service Manager for Adult Social Care will have responsibility for two category teams covering the National Care Home Contract and the Adult Social Care Team covering key national commissioning activity in areas such as care & support and residential rehabilitation.

Service Manager- Children & Families, Digital and Intelligence

(Ref: CFDI-SM-0724-05)

This role will have responsibility for the Children and Families and Digital category teams as well as responsibility for work across the Strategic Commissioning Team related to social care procurement, data and intelligence. This will include commissioning activity in the critical areas of secure care, fostering and children’s residential care.

These roles would suit experienced managers who can operate effectively within a complex landscape. The successful candidates will work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to delivery national solutions which support best practice, person-centred delivery.
