The Scottish Legal Aid Board (SLAB) was set up in 1987 to manage legal aid in Scotland. We are a non-departmental public body responsible to the Scottish Government. The Civil Legal Assistance Office (CLAO) was established in its current form in 2008. The service operates through a mix of casework, assisting with referrals to other providers of legal assistance and support, delivering second tier support to other providers (including training), and partnership/development project work with local and national organisations operating in the defined geographical areas.

About the role

Provide efficient and high quality legal administrative and casework support to solicitors and the Head of Office across the CLAO network. In addition, the postholder has a role in supporting the delivery of client-centred and trauma informed legal services.

Due to the duties and responsibilities of this role, it is essential that it is carried out onsite.

This post is a fixed term 18-month contract on a full time basis.
