  • contributing to Cyber Essentials Plus compliance and audit evidence preparation
  • supporting investigation of security incidents and recommending follow-up improvements
  • helping implement security-related technical changes and project tasks

  • an honours degree in computing, IT security, or significant relevant experience in security operations, cybersecurity support, or infrastructure administration
  • experience with security or infrastructure tools (antivirus/EDR, logging, MFA, firewalls, vulnerability scanners)
  • strong investigative skills and the ability to interpret technical information
  • good organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload and maintain accurate records
  • clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • commitment to following procedures, maintaining documentation, and ensuring consistency
  • a full UK driving licence and ability to travel between SLAB sites, as required.

  • A supportive, inclusive, and values-driven working environment
  • Opportunities for learning and professional development
  • Flexible working to support a healthy work-life balance
  • A competitive salary and benefits package, including pension contributions
  • Generous annual leave entitlement (34 days, rising to 42 days after two years’ service)
  • Enhanced family-friendly leave entitlements
