The service is provided completely free of charge for the adult population of North and South Lanarkshire and is open to all without distinction of race, gender or creed.

The Hospice values represent our core beliefs and act as our guiding principles at the very heart of all that we do. Our values are; Human Dignity, Compassion, Justice, Advocacy and Quality.

What is the role?

You will be based at St Andrews Hospice in Airdrie and may require to visit schools, health care settings or other agencies within the Lanarkshire area.

You will provide emotional, practical and therapeutic support to children and young people who are experiencing grief following the death of a family member or significant person in their lives. The role involves assessing needs, delivering age appropriate bereavement support either within a group setting or on a one-to-one basis, offering family support within the inpatient unit and working collaboratively with families and professionals to ensure a trauma informed, nurtured and evidence based approach is offered to help support the children and young people we work with.
