Love digital storytelling? Obsessed with engagement, insights and content that actually makes a difference?
Wheatley is Scotland’s leading housing, care and property-management organisation - and we’re proud of the role we play in making homes and lives better. Behind that mission is an award-winning Communications and Marketing team that tells powerful, people-focused stories every day.
We’re looking for a Digital and Social Media Officer to lead our social and digital channels, creating content that connects, engages, and delivers real impact. This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a values-led organisation where digital isn’t an add-on - it’s central to how we engage customers, colleagues, and communities across Scotland.
What you’ll do
- Create and publish engaging content across our digital channels including social media.
- Produce short-form video, graphics, and compelling copy that drives meaningful engagement.
- Lead social media planning and maintain content calendars.
- Foster audience engagement by monitoring trends and responding to comments.
- Support integrated marketing campaigns while maintaining brand standards.
- Share stories that demonstrate the real impact of Wheatley’s work on people and communities.
- Track and optimise engagement metrics across all channels, using insights to inform strategy.
- Collaborate on multi-channel campaigns to ensure a consistent digital presence and voice.
Who we’re looking for
This role would suit:
- An experienced digital, social media, or content professional with a track record of delivering engaging, insight-driven digital content; or
- A digital marketing or social media executive ready to take ownership of channels, content planning, and performance
You’ll bring:
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with an eye for detail, accessibility, and tone of voice
- Hands-on experience creating engaging digital content, especially short-form video and social media formats
- A love of data and using insights to improve content performance
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder skills, with confidence to advise and enable others
- Curiosity and adaptability, keeping up to date with digital trends and evolving platforms
Why Wheatley?
Alongside competitive pay and benefits, you’ll be part of a supportive, high-performing team where your ideas are welcomed, your impact is visible, and your work genuinely matters.
If you want a digital role with purpose, variety, and the chance to shape engagement at scale, we’d love to hear from you.
