Post Title: Neurodevelopmental Advanced Practitioner (NDAP)
Location: The Pines, Drummond Rd, Inverness
Hours: 30 Hours Per Week
Duration: Maternity Cover for 12 Months
Salary: £36,995 - £43,031 p.a. (£46,244 - £53,789 pro rata)

Job Purpose: We have an opportunity for a qualified professional with experience within paediatric neurodevelopmental practice to join the Highland Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service (NDAS) for 12 months.

The postholder will take a lead role as part of the NDAS and wider teams in carrying out complex neurodevelopmental assessment to children and young people across North Highland. This will be carried out across Highland Council area in schools and pre-school facilities, client’s own homes, out-patient clinics, and via telehealth in accordance with national, Highland Council, and NHS Highland policies and guidelines. They will participate in audit and service development, provide support and training to other professionals, and supervise the work of students and junior staff. Training and mentoring will be provided to the successful candidate as required.

This post sits within Highland Council but has NHS terms and conditions. Secondment may be considered with the agreement of your manager, and a different base location within Highland may be possible.

Requirements

  • Statutory degree qualification 
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)/ Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)/ Other appropriate professional council 
  • Maintain up to date HCPC/ NMC/ relevant professional registration 
  • Minimum of 5 years' clinical experience with at least 2 of these within paediatric neurodevelopmental practice
