Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Place Economy team working within Economic Development at Aberdeenshire Council. The Project Officer (Town Centre's) will assist in the implementation of projects that aim to deliver socio-economic growth and physical redevelopment. You will also be assisting in the implementation of the emerging Aberdeenshire Place Policy and Plans across Aberdeenshire towns.

You will be part of a team working to support all Aberdeenshire town centre's, through initiatives such as the ‘Aberdeenshire Loves Local’ Gift Card and the highly regarded Aberdeenshire Town Centre First Principle Policy.

If you have proven experience of using your own initiative to develop, coordinate, and manage economic development or regeneration projects on time and within budget, coupled with experience of working in partnership with a wide variety of stakeholders including community organisations and businesses then this role could be right for you.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

The ability to work evenings and weekends, when required, with travel throughout Aberdeenshire where public transport may not be available is a key element of the role.

Aberdeenshire Council is a flexible employer and while the position would be based in Banff or Fraserburgh, the team work to a hybrid model where working from home or other Council offices is possible through agreement with the Service.

This post has a minimum requirement of one reference which must be your current or most recent employer.
