Falkirk Council Education Services is seeking a dynamic and innovative teacher to work as an Education Support Officer within the Digital Learning Team. This secondment, starting in August 2025, offers a unique opportunity to drive digital transformation across our schools.

As an experienced GTCS registered professional, you will support the Connected Falkirk and Connected Learning programmes, as well as our STEM programme, empowering educators to effectively integrate digital technology and STEM into their teaching. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering professional learning and coaching to staff.
  • Developing engaging digital and STEM resources and online learning materials.
  • Supporting the implementation of the National Digital Learning Strategy.
  • Facilitating the use of digital technologies and STEM across the Curriculum for Excellence.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual with a strong understanding of digital pedagogy and STEM and a passion for enhancing learning outcomes. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, along with a degree or equivalent qualification and full UK driving licence.

The Education Support Officer for Connected Falkirk, Connected Learning and STEM is a seconded 52 week post for up to 23 months on the Education Support Officer scale that will report directly to the QIO for Digital.

This post is temporary until July 2027 on secondment cover.
