Personal Sitter/Support Worker Required – Dundonald
Hours:
4 hours per 4-week period
Additional 8 hours available during each 10-week school holiday period
A Personal Sitter/Support Worker is required to provide supervision and support for a young boy living in Dundonald. The role is intended to ensure the young person's safety and wellbeing while his parent attends appointments, shopping trips, and other essential activities.
Initially, the young person is unlikely to engage directly with the sitter and may choose to remain in his room for much of the support period. Patience, understanding, and a calm approach are therefore essential. The long-term aim is to gradually build trust and develop a positive relationship at the young person's own pace.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
* Calm, patient, and reliable nature
* Ability to work independently and follow guidance from parents
* Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
* Access to transport or ability to travel to Dundonald
Desirable Requirements:
* Training and experience in managing challenging behaviours
* Experience supporting children with social, emotional, behavioural, or additional support needs
