We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in domiciliary care, providing person centred care in the comfort of our clients homes. The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting independence, dignity, and well-being for clients with diverse needs, including those requiring specialised dementia or Alzheimer's care. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Provide patient care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring comfort and safety
- Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements
- Engage clients in social activities and behavioural management strategies to promote mental well-being
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals
- Support clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialised care techniques
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with team members
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care, dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care is advantageous
- Valid driving licence for transportation duties
- First aid certification or willingness to undertake training upon appointment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with mobility support
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and medication management
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience
- Flexibility to work shifts as required; previous experience in caregiving roles is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
