We are recruiting Registered Nurses to provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with complex medical needs in their own homes across Edinburgh. Applicants must hold a valid NMC PIN and have at least 1 year's nursing experience in the UK. Previous complex care experience is desirable but not essential, as full training and shadowing will be provided.

Complex Care Nurse – Care at Home

ScotNursing & Medical Services (SNMS) is a leading nursing and care provider delivering high-quality care and support across Scotland.

We are currently recruiting Registered Nurses to join our Care at Home Team in the Edinburgh area.

About the Role

Working within a tailored Complex Care at Home package, you will provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care to an individual with complex medical needs, supporting them to remain at home and live as independently as possible.

The package has been specifically tailored around the individual's needs, and you will play an important role in providing safe, compassionate and consistent care.

Previous experience in complex care or Care at Home is desirable, but full training and shadowing will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care plans

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in the individual's condition

• Maintain accurate and complete clinical records

• Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to ensure high quality patient care

• Support and educate the individual and their family regarding their care, medication and treatment plans

• Promote independence, dignity and choice at all times

Essential Requirements

• Valid NMC PIN

• Minimum 1 year's nursing experience in the UK

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding

• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider healthcare team

• Commitment to providing safe, compassionate and person-centred care
