About Futures Aberdeen

Aberlour Futures is an SVQ Training and Assessment Centre with an excellent reputation, earned over 20 years, for delivering high quality vocational education and training for the Early Learning and Child Care workforce in Aberdeen City and Shire. Aberlour Futures are commissioned by Aberdeen City Council to provide a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Training Programme for all staff in the NHS, Police, Education, Social Work, Early Learning and Childcare services. This Training Programme equips them to deliver their responsibilities in line with legislation and guidance relating to Getting it Right for Every Child and safeguarding children and young people.

What we are looking for....

Working 30 hours per week, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, confident and experienced practitioner with demonstrable experience of children’s services and multi-agency working. You will be required to work collaboratively to provide a professional learning programme across key areas of practice in GIRFEC and safeguarding children and young people. This post is being offered on a Fixed Term basis until 30th June 2024, at present, Aberdeen City Council intend to continue the contract beyond June 2024.

You should be a great communicator and confident trainer with experience in delivering training to support the CPL needs of staff in your sector.

You should be able to work flexibly as some courses are delivered at different times in different locally based venues throughout Aberdeen City as well as online.
