About Aberlour Glasgow Family Support Services….

Aberlour currently has various support services based throughout the whole of Glasgow. We support families and young people from the ages of 0-18. We provide a range of accessible, community-based family support projects to help disadvantaged children, young people and families living in Glasgow. The families we work with need support for a range of reasons, such as poor emotional health and wellbeing, domestic abuse and drug and alcohol use. Our workers spend time with children, young people, parents and carers in order to understand what the family needs to thrive. We understand that family life can be difficult for all sorts of reasons. Our approach is always sympathetic and non-judgemental.

What we are looking for....

We are looking to recruit a Service Administrator to work 37.5 hours per week. These hours will primarily be Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm. This role will be officed based and will likely be based in our offices throughout Glasgow. Job Share Applications are welcome.

The role of as Service Administrator is very varied within Aberlour, you will have general administrative tasks such as financial administrative tasks, ordering office equipment and supporting with our file recording systems. Your job is also about supporting and working with people. For many of our families our Service Administrators are their first point of contact - as they are usually there to welcome them into our offices! Our young people look forward to meeting our Service Administrators as they are always greeted with a smile! Our administrators are at times a point of contact for families/partners who are looking for urgent help and must respond in an appropriate, friendly and helpful manner.

Ideally you will have administrative experience gained through working within a busy office or social care environment. You will be comfortable working with all Microsoft Office packages including Excel and be able to create spreadsheets and deal with numerical information. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills. You will have a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or equivalent experience of working in a busy office.
