Job Description

Based at Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar, covering the Angus area.

This job is workstyle 4 - Flexi.

As a Food Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our community by ensuring that food businesses comply with all safety regulations and standards. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, providing guidance on best practices, and taking enforcement actions where necessary to protect public health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of food establishments, including restaurants, cafes, and food manufacturing facilities.
  • Monitor compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Investigate complaints and foodborne illness outbreaks.
  • Provide guidance to food business operators on hygiene and food safety practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports and take appropriate enforcement action when non-compliance is identified
