Property Services are looking for an experienced Architectural Technician on a temporary full time basis (35hrs/week) to cover maternity leave. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building positive relationships with key stakeholders and deliver cost effective design solutions within our extensive portfolio.

 

We are seeking a highly motivated person who has a determination to succeed and deliver first class results with a strong customer focus. The role requires someone who has the ability to balance a diverse workload, prioritise tasks, plan and meet deadlines.

 

Your main focus in this role will be to assist with planning the delivery and implementation of the Council’s Capital Programme within the Design Team. The ideal candidate shall be suitably qualified and will be responsible for planning their role as a Contract Administrator, liaising with other members of the design team, clients, consultants and any internal or external bodies as necessary to ensure effective and timeous delivery.

 

The base for the post is negotiable within Argyll and Bute and we currently operate out of offices in both Dunoon and Lochgilphead. Remote/ Hybrid options will be considered for this post and we will do our best to find the right fit for the successful applicant, although some presence in the office (and wider Argyll and Bute area, from time to time) will be required.

 

Whilst the post is advertised for 35 hours per week, we are open to discussions on flexible working arrangements. This post is temporary until 31/12/2025.

 

The ideal Candidate will be required to travel effectively and efficiently throughout Argyll and Bute and beyond to meet the needs of the service.
