The Council’s Property Services section is seeking to recruit a Building Services & Climate Change Manager to develop, manage and deliver efficient and effective Energy Management, Carbon Management, Climate Change and Statutory Maintenance Programmes across the Council. In doing so they must ensure that best value is delivered to service users by providing safe, efficient, fit for purpose buildings that meet all statutory requirements with minimised utilities’ consumption.

The post holder should be highly motivated with a determination to succeed and deliver first class results with a strong customer focus. Additionally they should have the ability to apply logical, analytical and problem solving techniques to deliver efficient solutions and effective decisions. The post holder should also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to motivate, influence and negotiate with others. They should be able to work both on their own initiative, with minimum supervision, and as part of a team.

The post holder is required to travel effectively and efficiently throughout Argyll and Bute and beyond to meet the needs of the service.
