This is a great opportunity for a person interested in following a career in Local Authority, and the challenges faced within a largely rural environment. A key aspect of this post will be assisting with the delivery of Rural Growth Deal projects such as ‘West Coast Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Innovation Logistics & Training Hub (Oban Airport)’ and ‘Argyll - Digital Connectivity’. The post holder will support the Strategic Transportation Policy Officer with Government, Elected Member, Business and Community Engagement, preparation of business cases and bids to secure external funding for Digital and Transport related projects, including providing support in procuring, project managing and delivery of the projects.

The postholder will help influence and secure the maximum benefits of the external roll out of digital connectivity throughout Argyll and Bute, with a particular focus on the delivery of Ultrafast Broadband and 4/5G technology.

This is a full time, permanent post, 35 hours per week.
