Argyll and Bute Educational Psychology Service are seeking to recruit 1.0 FTE temporary Educational Psychologist (12 months).

The successful candidate will be required to travel to remote and rural locations, for example Campbeltown, as part of their role as a link psychologist to educational establishments.

The successful applicant must be registered or eligible to be registered with the HCPC and be able to take up post by 1 September 2026.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated educational psychologist who is passionate about working collaboratively with others to improve the life chances for all, with a particular focus on those children and young people who are most vulnerable.

As an Educational Psychologist in Argyll and Bute you will join a highly creative and skilled Educational Psychology Service. There is a strong commitment to collaborative working across the team with regular opportunities for peer support. There is a focus on supporting Professional Development for all staff in line with service and authority priorities.

The service is currently involved in a range of key strategic developments within the Education Service, and in collaboration with colleagues across the Health and Social Care Partnership.

The office base for this post is negotiable. Psychologists offer a mix between remote and in-person service delivery across all functions.

Interviews are expected to be held on Tuesday 16th June in Dunoon.
