Property Services are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor on a permanent full time basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building positive relationships with key stakeholders and deliver cost effective design solutions within our extensive portfolio.

We are seeking a highly motivated person who has a determination to succeed and deliver first class results with a strong customer focus. The role requires someone who has the ability to balance a diverse workload, prioritise tasks, plan and meet deadlines.

Your main focus in this role will be to assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide the Council and Client Departments with a professional Quantity Surveying service ensuring best value is delivered to service users by taking specific responsibility for capital and revenue maintenance projects. The ideal candidate shall be suitably qualified or working towards suitable qualification and will be required to liaise with other members of the design team, clients, consultants and any internal or external bodies as necessary to ensure effective and timeous delivery.

The base for the post is negotiable within Argyll and Bute and we currently operate out of offices in both Dunoon and Lochgilphead. Our team have successfully transitioned to remote/hybrid working and we will do our best to find the right fit for the successful applicant, although some presence in the office (and locations throughout the wider Argyll and Bute area) will be required.

Whilst the post is advertised for 35 hours per week, we are open to discussions on flexible working arrangements.

The ideal Candidate will be required to travel effectively and efficiently throughout Argyll and Bute and beyond to meet the needs of the service.
