Higher Enforcement Officer (Regulatory) Food Law
Waverley Court, 4 East Market Street, EH8 8BG although work is throughout the city with a degree of flexibility and some home working (subject to operational requirements). Some work out of normal office hours will be required.

Salary: £36,612 - £42,717 (pro-rata for part time)
Hours: 36 per week - although we welcome applications for a range of hours (please be clear on application)

Providing for the population and visitors requires services and facilities that meets their needs including entertainment, restaurants, bars and cafes. Edinburgh is an important financial centre and is home to a number of universities and colleges and some manufacturing. This dynamic operating environment and the impacts of both technological and legislative change require a strong Environmental Health Service performing to the highest standards of competency, service delivery and professionalism. Our Environmental Health Service comprises four teams: An Environmental Protection team and three Food, Health and Safety teams covering geographical areas across the City. We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Higher Enforcement Officer to join our Food, Health and Safety teams to carry out Food Law Enforcement work.

We can offer a dynamic and interesting environment for both experienced and newly qualified Food Safety Officers due to the range of work available. Applicants *must* be a qualified Food Safety Officer (Higher Certificate in Food Practice as awarded by the Scottish Food Safety Officers Registration Board or equivalent) or be due to sit the upcoming Professional Exams.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
