This is a fantastic new opportunity within the Environmental Health team. There is a total available budget for 54 hours per week. This could be one full time (36 hours) post and a second post at 18 hours per week, or three part time posts within the available budget.
We are seeking an enthusiastic person who can work independently to join our Environmental Health team. This is a dynamic role where you will be trusted to work on your own initiative, supported by experienced colleagues.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental protection legislation, providing professional advice, and taking appropriate action where necessary.
Key responsibilities include triaging and responding to complaints and queries under the Environmental Protection Act, investigating complaints and taking appropriate action. You will also support our private water supply regulatory activities.
Good inter-personal skills will be required to provide the best level of customer service possible, working well under pressure to meet demands.
The right candidate will have a knowledge of key legislation and be confident in the day-to-day use of digital systems.
A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.
