The Falkirk Council Pension Fund holds £3.9 billion of assets, and the Pensions team looks after the rights of around 40,00 Scheme members. The Fund administers pensions on behalf of around 20 employers with Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire Councils being the largest employers.
About the role
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Accounting Assistant (Pensions) to join the Investments and Accounting Team within the Pension Fund.
You will be part of a small team responsible for delivering accounting and investment services to the Pension Fund. The team produces the Annual report and Accounts for the Pension Fund, deals with day-to-day operational cash management and accounting as well as administration and monitoring of the Fund’s assets.
The postholder will have strong numerical and analytical skills with a high-level attention to detail and an ability to manage priorities within the deadlines. The role requires someone who can work independently but also collaboratively with other team members and the wider Pension Fund team. You will have relevant academic qualifications and previous accounting and/or pensions experience is desirable, but pensions specific guidance will be provided.
This is a hybrid working post. You will be expected to work from home and from our local office at The Foundry in Larbert.
