City Building provides a range of repairs and maintenance, manufacturing, construction and refurbishment activities for Glasgow City Council and Wheatley Housing Group’s citizens and customers as well as other public, private and third sector organisations.

City Building operates both the largest construction craft apprenticeship programme in Scotland, and Royal Strathclyde Blindcraft Industries (RSBi), one of the largest supported manufacturing businesses in Europe, around 200 people, more than 50% of whom have a disability.

Organisational Development Advisor

We have two exciting opportunities for experienced and motivated Organisational Development Advisors to join our People Services team.

As part of our OD, Training and Transformation function, you will play a key role in supporting organisational effectiveness, workforce capability and business performance. Working across the organisation, you will help design and deliver initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, support workforce planning, enhance employee engagement and drive positive organisational change.

This is an excellent opportunity for an OD professional who enjoys working collaboratively with leaders and stakeholders to develop practical solutions that improve organisational performance and employee experience.

What You'll Do

• Support the delivery of organisational development initiatives aligned to strategic priorities.

• Contribute to workforce planning, succession planning and talent development activity.

• Support organisational change, transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Use workforce insight and organisational data to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Help strengthen employee engagement, leadership capability and organisational resilience.

• Promote a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture.

What You Will Bring

What We're Looking For

You will have experience in Organisational Development, Organisational Effectiveness, Workforce Planning, Change Management, Transformation or a related people-focused discipline.

You'll be an effective communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills, a collaborative approach and a passion for helping people, teams and organisations thrive.
