Job Purpose: The Safety Barrier Team Operative is responsible for the installation, repair, replacement and maintenance of road restraint systems across the Highland Council road network. Based on Skye, the team provides a vital service ensuring that vehicle restraint systems are compliant, safe and fit for purpose across urban, rural and trunk-adjacent roads throughout the wider Highland area

Requirements

Possession of driving licence for LGV, Category C and C + E. However if an applicant has other attributes to offer to the Council in relation to road maintenance then training may be given to assist the applicant to gain his LGV licence.
