Job Purpose: Join Highland Council as a Senior Accountant and play a vital role in delivering expert financial support across our service areas.

Based in the Highlands, this permanent position offers flexible hybrid working from any of our offices across the region. This full-time role (35 hours/week) provides dedicated financial support to the People Cluster, helping to ensure the effective delivery of services across Education and Learning and Heath and Social Care. Responsibilities include budget preparation, financial reporting, and team leadership.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge and experience of Local Government financial procedures.

Qualified membership of a Professional Accounting body (CCAB or other)

Budgetary control experience.

HND in Accounting or equivalent qualification or relevant experience.
