Job Purpose:
- To manage and support environmental health staff in the deliver of environmental health services. This will include allocating work, managing performance, operational duties and the application and implementation of Human Resource
practice. - To be a specialist officer leading on specific environmental health functions on a
Highland wide basis. This will include reviewing policy and strategy development,
providing operational assistance and project management for specific
environmental health functions.

Requirements
- Candidates must hold the REHIS Diploma in Environmental Health, or received
confirmation from the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS) of
the equivalency of their qualifications (further information on this process can be
obtained by emailing contact@rehis.com). - A current UK driving licence and a commitment to regular travel across the Council
area. Travel throughout Highland will be required.
