Midlothian Council is looking to recruit a Transport Attendant, the successful applicant will be tasked with working within a welcoming, dynamic team who strive to deliver gold standard service for our customers and communities. Principally tasked with assisting deliver home to school transport to additional support needs children and adults.

A good communicator whom is approachable , the successful applicant will join an inclusive team and receive market leading staff benefits to include generous employer contribution pension benefit and a staff discount/benefits scheme.

Position Title: Attendant Sessional – Home to School Transport

Location: Bonnyrigg Garage

Contract Status: Permanent

Hours of Work: 19

Working Pattern: 3hrs 48m per day - to be discussed with service. Typically 2hrs @ 7.30am and 1hr 48m @ 3pm – school term

Weeks per year: 40

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

Based on 19 hours over 40 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £11,495.80 per annum.

Requirements

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children or protected adults.
