Midlothian

Bilston Primary serves the catchment of Bilston and the surrounding area, within Midlothian Council’s Education Division.  Our catchment includes areas of local authority housing and private housing, including two extensive new housing estates.

Bilston is part of Beeslack Associated Schools’ Group which includes Beeslack High School, Roslin and Mauricewood Primary Schools. It is a co-educational, non-denominational school.

Our pupil role is currently 250 from Early Years - P7; 218 from P1-P7 and 32 children in our ELC.

An Enhanced Class was established in October 2021 to meet the needs of a specific group of learners on the Autism spectrum.  They follow the curriculum in their mainstream class and benefit from additional, enhanced support throughout the week from both the EC teacher and an LA.

The Senior Leadership Team comprises the Head Teacher and a Principal Teacher.

Relationships amongst children, staff and parents are key to the positive, nurturing ethos that we strive to create and maintain at Bilston Primary which is a very caring, inclusive school.
