It is essential that the jobholder has experience of care experienced young people and demonstrate awareness of the issues and barriers encountered by children and young people in the care system. 

It is essential that the jobholder holds/ or is working towards an HNC in Health and Social Care and Child Protection training level 1.  It is desirable that the job holder is working towards a relevant qualification to work with children and young people, e.g. Social Work qualification, Teaching. Youth Work 

It is essential that the post holder has experience of planning and delivering groups both to children and young people as well as a range of professionals, senior officers from public bodies including elected members.

It is desirable that they have experience of supporting internal or external working groups to deliver on plans and can work to deadlines and relevant timescale.

The jobholder should also have an awareness of children’s rights and basic child protection issues in Scotland.

Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £26,918.62 per annum.

Requirements
