An HNC or equivalent level of qualification in an appropriate subject such as Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, Road Safety etc. indicating the ability to analyse statistics, determine engineering solutions, survey and measure on site works.
The jobholder also requires an understanding of legal aspects of managing the public road network, experience of working to deadlines and reconciling a variety of interests.
Experience of using good verbal and written communication skills in order to report and negotiate is also essential.
An understanding of the accident statistics and CAD experience is required.

Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £28,984.95 per annum.
Requirements
Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard. This requires completion of a disclosure check for all employees who can access official information.
