Job Vacancy
Working within the Inclusion and Wellbeing Service, you will support young people who require support to access education. You will be working primarily on a one to one basis with pupils but may also be required to work with groups, based on need.
Fully trained jobholders must hold a minimum SVQ3 level qualification in Youth Work, or equivalent subject, and have experience in leading youth activities.
Youth Worker (B) Experienced jobholders who have not yet attained theSVQ3 level qualification in Youth Work but are currently studying towards it will be paid at scp 35.
Youth Worker (A) jobholders who can demonstrate literacy and numeracy equivalent to standard grade level 3 and who have considerable youth work experience will be paid at scp 31. Fully trained jobholders must hold a minimum SVQ3 level qualification in Youth Work, or equivalent subject, and have experience leading youth activities.

Based on you working 30 hours over 40 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £17,666.67 per annum.
Requirements
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.
Successful candidates will require PVG Scheme membership for Regulated Work with Children, You will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment with Midlothian Council, the cost of which will be met by you.
