Job Description

To undertake generally as part of a team the maintenance and construction of roads, footway, drains, street lighting and signs.

Requirements

Signs and Guarding of Works

Drainage, Ducting, Kerbing and Cable Works

Preparation and Laying of Coated, Uncoated and cementations.

Fixing/Dismantling Street Furniture

Street Lighting Maintenance

Participate in the delivery of Winter Service and Response to other Emergencies

Driving of Vehicles and associated Plant

Operation of Power Tools

General Support of Specialist Operatives

Meeting Health and Safety Requirements

Installation and maintenance of street lighting and traffic signage

Current Driving Licence

Knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements

Must be able to keep basic records

Prepared to work towards acquiring an LGV licence

Able to climb ladders and work at heights.

Flexible attitude and ability to work as a member of a team.

This job requires a vey high level of applied physical effort

Must be willing to participate in the Winter and Summer Out of Hours Rota

Must be prepared to work overtime as required

Starting Salary: £24223.16 to £26474.24*

£12.59 to £13.76 per hour*

37 Hours per week

*Dependant on relevant qualifications and experience
