An exciting position of Arts Development and Engagement Manager has arisen within Active and Creative Communities which will lead a team to deliver the Councils Arts Strategy plan.
You will be responsible to the Creative Resources and Assets Manager for the effective management, organisation and development of a comprehensive multi - disciplinary arts service to include; the provision of drama, dance, music, creative writing, visual & digital art, craft and public art activities. You will also be responsible for steering and supporting a network of artists from the local area, including providing business, training and funding advice. Working closely with established partners both internally to the council and external organisations and individuals, maintaining and developing the Art is Everywhere Strategy and associated strands.
You must be educated to a degree level in a relevant Arts discipline, have extended experience at a senior level in Arts Management and Administration and Health and Safety Management. You will have strong leadership and management skills along with excellent communication and organisational skills. Knowledge of Arts funding methods and experience of partnership approach to working to achieve strategic plans and aims is essential for the role. Experience of performing and visual arts would also be desirable.
The successful candidate must hold a full clean UK driving licence and be willing to travel across North Lanarkshire.
