An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of North Lanarkshire Council’s arboricultural team. Based at Strathclyde Country Park you will work as part of a team and assist in the day to day delivery of an effective and efficient Arboricultural Service.
These roles feature a four-day working week (with a four-day weekend every second week) and generous terms and conditions including a minimum annual leave entitlement of 27 days per annum (plus 6 public holidays) and a 19.3% employer contribution pension scheme.
You will be responsible for carrying out the day to day programming and supervision of all arboriculture works. You must be physically fit and a team player with excellent communications skills. Extended experience in all aspects of arboriculture is a must and you will have a sound understanding of health and safety matters relating to arboriculture. Professionalism and an ability to problem solve will be required in respect to all aspects of arboricultural works.
An SVQ Level 2 professional arboricultural qualification, Higher or equivalent qualification.
You will require to hold a valid UK Driving License prior to commencing this role.
Working pattern:
Weeks 1-5 & 49-52:
Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm and Friday, 8am to 3.30pm (30mins unpaid break each day)
Weeks 6-48 (alternating weekly pattern):
Week 1 Monday to Thursday, 7.15am to 5pm -1700 and Week 2 Tuesday to Friday, 7.15am to 5pm (30mins unpaid break)
