We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our Employment and Policy Team on a dedicated project supporting the delivery of attendance management improvement initiatives across Adult Health and Social Care. This role will play a key part in supporting managers and employees to promote attendance, improve engagement and ensure the consistent application of attendance management policies and procedures. Working closely with HR colleagues, operational managers and employees, you will assist with the delivery of a targeted absence management project aimed at improving attendance outcomes and supporting workforce wellbeing.
On a daily basis, you will be responsible for collating and analysing attendance data, producing management reports, monitoring compliance with attendance management procedures and identifying trends to support service improvement. You will provide professional, consistent and timely first-line HR advice to managers and employees on attendance management processes, policy application and general employment matters.
You will support the coordination of attendance review meetings, maintain accurate records and assist with employee engagement activity associated with the project. This will include contacting employees, arranging meetings, supporting managers with documentation and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are undertaken. You may also attend formal meetings where appropriate and will assist in producing correspondence, reports and project updates.
As part of the project team, you will contribute to data analysis and continuous improvement activity, helping to identify opportunities to enhance attendance management processes and support positive employee outcomes across Adult Health and Social Care services.
Educated to HNC level or equivalent in a business or administrative subject, you will have moderate experience of working in an HR environment and have worked with the public and all levels of management within a large complex organisation. You will have excellent organisational skills and proven experience in a complex administration function where confidentiality is essential. On a personal basis, you will be team orientated, proactive and solution focused, able to build good working relationships and cope with a demanding workload whilst maintaining high standards of work.
