Children & Family Support Assistant (2 Posts) (Permanent)

 We are currently recruiting Children & Family Support Assistants to join our locality teams in Wishaw & Coatbridge.   As a member of our Children & Families team and in partnership with social workers & other agencies, you will provide advice, support and practical assistance to children, young people, and their families to achieve positive outcomes and enable children to be supported and protected in their families and communities.

 

Engaging positively with children, young people and their families is critical to this post, so we need someone who has excellent communication skills including oral, listening and written. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, enthusiastic and solution focussed and has the ability remain calm and work under pressure at times. If you are compassionate and can demonstrate a commitment to working with children, young people and their families to achieve positive outcomes then this job is ideal for you.

 

An HNC, SVQ3 in Social Care or equivalent in a relevant discipline and moderate experience of working within a social work/social care setting are essential as are ICT and report writing skills. 

 

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip.  You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
