Are you an organised and motivated administrator with excellent customer service skills? Do you enjoy supporting others and making a positive difference within your community? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Volunteer NL & Macmillan Services team as a Clerical Assistant.

As Clerical Assistant, you will provide a comprehensive range of administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Volunteer NL & Macmillan Services. Working closely with the Volunteer NL Manager and wider team, you will support volunteer programmes, maintain records and databases, process financial transactions, coordinate communications and assist with day-to-day office administration.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a busy administrative environment and possess excellent organisational and communication skills. You will be confident using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with experience of maintaining databases and handling financial records. A positive attitude, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service are essential.

You should have:

  • Three Standard Grades (or equivalent), including English or Maths.
  • Administrative experience in a busy office environment.
  • Experience dealing effectively with customers, colleagues and external organisations.
  • Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office packages and office-based IT systems.
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who can work effectively on their own initiative and as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism, confidentiality and a commitment to supporting volunteers and service users.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
