Depute Head Teacher (ASN Outreach/ASN Glenburn College) - DHT2 £61,839.

An exciting post of Depute Head Teacher for ASN Outreach and ASN Glenburn College has been developed to support the Inclusion Teams transformational change programme., The successful postholder will have responsibility for an Outreach team supporting mainstream schools with ASN pupils, for an initial period of 1 year (session 24/25). In addition, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the further development of the We Aspire ASN College (formerly Glenburn College) operating model, which is a provision for young people from the Senior phases and aims to be a stepping stone for their next phase of life after school.

The goal of the ASN Outreach programme is to reduce placements over time in order to develop a more inclusive practice and pedagogy in our mainstream school. It is an exciting opportunity to build processes critical to ensuring that schools are supported in the development of their practice and the ability to sustain more complex levels of ASN within their schools.

We Aspire ASN College is an excellent opportunity which will further enable the development of a vocational offer to ASN young people with more complex needs will have their needs met at a standalone site through the development of bespoke programme offers. The postholder will lead a team working to continue to develop vocational and bespoke offers which will enable children to continue being educated within their own communities, whilst receiving the Intensive level of support they require and ensuring access to an extensive vocational curriculum offer. This will increase their opportunities for educational achievement and of securing a positive post school destination.

A key aspect of the role will be to coordinate the review, development and implementation of curriculum for Glenburn College with a focus on bespoke packages of support.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.
