We’re looking for dynamic, confident and highly motivated individuals to join our DevOps team within the Technology Development division to develop and support new technology applications and business solutions driven by the implementation of the Council’s DigitalNL and SmartNL programmes.
You should have some knowledge and technical understanding of ICT technologies and integration together with knowledge, exposure too and a willingness to learn, of operating to a DevOps culture, from requirements analysis, development and test, release management, implementation planning, change and service introduction.
Some knowledge and exposure to scripting languages, MS Power platform and Continuous Integration/Development processes would be desirable along with technical understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems and cloud platform solutions and a willingness to learn Robotic Process Automation
You should have an open and enquiring mind adaptable to change and innovation, be confident and self-motivated and have the capability to work to targets and react appropriately and quickly to challenges.
You must be educated to degree/SVQ4/HND standard or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with training/certification in some of the following application development environments and languages - Drupal/PHP, MS Dynamics and Power Platform applications, Robotic Process Automation, scripting languages (e.g. Python, Powershell, Javascript), and ServiceNow application and integrations.
This role will work on a hybrid model of office-based work within the Civic Centre, Motherwell and home-based work.
