North Lanarkshire Council, as one of Scotland’s largest local authorities, has a shared ambition for inclusive growth and prosperity for all and to be the place to Live, Learn, Work, Invest and Visit. With a new five-year Programme of Work to 2028 in place to deliver on the shared ambition, an opportunity has arisen for an important role to support the continued development of the council’s business strategy, performance, and governance arrangements.

Reporting to the Strategy and Performance Manager within the Business Strategy Team, this role will support the ongoing development of the performance and governance arrangements supporting The Plan for North Lanarkshire and the Programme of Work, and will involve co-ordinating quantitative and qualitative information, analysing data and summarising the findings, and developing web content.

Applicants must be educated to HND/SVQ4/Degree standard in a relevant discipline.

Experience of business strategy, performance indicators, working with statistical data, and using Excel are desirable. A key aspect of this role will include collaborating with a wide range of people across the organisation, so good communication skills are essential.

Applicants should be adaptable to change, capable of working to targets, and able to react quickly to challenges.

You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team within Business and Digital who currently operate a hybrid model of home-working and office-based work at the Civic Centre office in Motherwell.

If you would like to discuss this role please contact Susan Lawrie, Strategy and Performance Manager on 07946 353465 or Linda Johnston, Business Strategy Manager on 07939 280883.

Work Pattern:

Monday to Thursday - 8.45 am to 4.45 pm

Friday - 8.45 am to 4.15 pm
