An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of North Lanarkshire Council’s Estates Maintenance team. You will directly and positively impact on our local communities by working as part of a team ensuring the day to day delivery of an effective and efficient repair and installation service, for a wide range of play area equipment and associated structures.

You must have moderate relevant working experience, ideally including the repair, removal and replacement / installation of a range of play equipment. You will have experience of undertaking inspections of play and associated equipment. Experience of hard and soft landscaping (slabbing and fencing) would be advantageous.

You will have the knowledge and ability to operate a range of tools and equipment including drills and be able to undertake manual handling of heaver type materials. You require knowledge of Health and Safety at work Act and should be able to follow safe systems at work and risk assessments. A SVQ3 or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline would be advantageous to this role.

You be motivated, and well organised with a polite and courteous manner. With the ability to work as part of a team you will also require to be capable of working on your own initiative. You will have good communication skills with the ability to follow written instructions and update computer systems as necessary.

A driving licence is required for this role.

Location of this post will either be Souterhouse Depot, Coatbridge or Bonkle Depot, Wishaw. This will be discussed further at interview.

Working Pattern:

Week 1 - Monday to Thursday - 07:15am to 17:00pm

Week 2 – Tuesday to Friday - 07:15am to 17:00pm

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
