Responsible to the Workshop Manager, we are seeking an experienced Groundcare Maintenance Inspector to lead the effective management, maintenance, and operational delivery of our plant and heavy equipment function. This role is critical in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient service delivery across a diverse fleet of plant assets, supporting operational teams and key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure all plant equipment is maintained to the highest safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the operational performance of Groundcare and Plant services, ensuring high standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance.
- Oversee inspection, maintenance, servicing, and replacement planning of all plant equipment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements including (HAVS testing), industry standards, and organisational policies.
- Manage and develop operational teams, providing strong leadership, direction, and support.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments, contractors, and external partners to meet service and project requirements.
- Monitor budgets, procurement, asset utilisation, and operational costs to achieve best value.
- Implement process improvements and modern working practices to enhance service performance.
You will be educated to SCQF level 7 in Mechanics with strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems and hold a full driving licence with a category C license being desirable. You will be a good communicator with an approachable disposition. You will have a positive and enthusiastic approach to work and be able to establish effective working relationships with customers, contractors and employees.
The work pattern for this role will be Monday to Friday but will be discussed further at interview.
