The role:
You will be involved in the assessment and processing of a diverse range of planning applications, contributing to high‑quality place‑making and supporting major regeneration and development projects across North Lanarkshire. The role offers exposure to urban, town centre and rural developments, as well as enforcement and policy work.
You will join a collaborative and supportive team of planners who value inclusive growth, professional development and continuous improvement. We encourage fresh ideas and provide a positive environment where early‑career planners can thrive.
Qualifications and Experience:
You should hold, or be working towards, a degree or diploma in Town Planning (or a related discipline). Experience within a planning service or similar environment is desirable but not essential. We are keen to hear from motivated individuals with strong communication skills and an interest in development management and place‑making.

Work pattern:
35 hours per week - Monday - Thursday: 08:45 - 16:45 (including a 55 minute unpaid break)
Friday: 08:45 - 16:15 (including a 50 minute unpaid break)
