To support the delivery of The Plan for North Lanarkshire, an ambitious programme for physical and economic regeneration, we have an opportunity for a Project Development Co-ordinator within the council’s Place Service.
As a Project Development Co-ordinator, you will have a critical role in supporting the implementation of North Lanarkshire’s Economic Regeneration Delivery Plan with a particular focus on the regeneration of Coatbridge town centre. Following the recent award of UK government funding for Coatbridge under the Long Term Plan for Towns, this post offers the opportunity to provide strategic support to the Town Board and take a lead role in the development and delivery of the Long Term Investment Plan.
This post offers an exciting opportunity for someone experienced in developing and managing regeneration / infrastructure projects to play an integral role in the delivery of a long-term programme of renewal for North Lanarkshire. In doing so, the successful candidate will need to be able to work effectively across council services and partnerships to ensure that projects form an integrated part of wider regeneration activity for new housing supply, infrastructure and enterprise, as well as lead on wider community and stakeholder engagement.
You should be educated to SVQ 4, HND or degree level and have experience in developing and implementing regeneration projects (including developing and assessment of business cases for such projects, managing consultants and project teams). The successful candidate will also require excellent communication and project management skills and the key issues which underpin successful and sustainable development projects.
For an informal discussion regarding the position, please contact Stuart Hodge on 07583 091571
Work pattern:
35 hours per week - Monday to Thursday - 08:45 to 16:45 - Friday 08:45 to 16:15
