We are looking for an Engagement Officer join our team. Your base will be Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life, Coatbridge but you will work with the communities of North Lanarkshire and project partners to help shape an exciting museum project.

Your task will be to help make the case for a large-scale development project for Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life.

To be successful in the post, you should enjoy working with people, have good interpersonal and communication skills, be self-motivated and have a flexible approach to work practices.

Your previous work experience of developing community groups, working with hard-to-reach groups, schools, delivering talks and workshops along with a broad knowledge of history, and a genuine interest in listening to the community and making sure their voices are heard will add to your success in this post.

You will write documents to support the next stage funding applications and work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to achieve this.

Occasional evening and weekend working.

The successful candidate will require a satisfactory Disclosure Scotland check.

Post is temporary for 18 months. This post is funded by Heritage Fund.

Interviews are likely to take place at Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life on three weeks after the closing date.
