We are looking for a confident, welcoming and well‑organised Receptionist to join our Museums & Collections team. The post is based in North Lanarkshire Heritage Centre, Motherwell but you will work with all the museums in North Lanarkshire Council as required. You will be the first point of contact for the public, providing reception and administrative support that contributes to the smooth running of day‑to‑day operations.

Working as part of a small team, you will help ensure our museums are welcoming, safe, well-presented spaces. You will open and close the museum, provide reception services, operate the till for cash and card payments, restock the shop, report building faults, accurately compile visitor statistics, prepare orders and stock take, ensure the museum is clean, tidy and appropriately set up at all times.

To be successful in this role you will be an excellent communicator with a friendly, welcoming manner who enjoys helping people and is committed to delivering excellent customer service. You must also have good Microsoft skills with accurate written and numerical skills and a can do attitude.

Interviews are likely to take place at North Lanarkshire Heritage Centre, Motherwell three weeks after the closing date.

Work pattern - Tuesday & Fridays 9:45am to 4:15pm (30 min unpaid break)

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
