An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Resource Officer to join our centralised Home Support team within Airdrie. You will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating the business functions of the team who are focussed on delivering high standards and effective administrative provision within both the council and to our internal and external partners.
Working closely with the Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and maintaining service standards ensuring deadlines are met, flexibility and responsiveness between all teams to meet emerging or heightened priorities or fluctuations in workload. Ensuring adequate staffing levels within your areas of responsibility organisation and management of admin functions within your designated team, ensuring consistent application of service and council policies and procedures.
We are looking for applicants who have a flexible and proactive approach to changing workloads, can demonstrate they have the right skills, experience and qualities to work within a fast paced and changing work environment. As an excellent communicator, you should be able to use your own initiative to problem solve and have the confidence to manage, motivate and support staff, ensuring delivery on deadlines and accuracy and quality of work.
Possession of a HNC/SVQ Level 3 in a business-related discipline or equivalent is essential plus extensive administrative experience and line management experience. Applicants must have excellent IT skills and be aware of, and able to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of their work.Working here at North Lanarkshire Council
