The Finance service is seeking to recruit a Revenue and Benefits Officer to support the Revenues function. The Revenues function supports the billing, collection and recovery of Non-Domestic Rates and Council Tax and delivers the Council’s Scottish Welfare Fund for both Crisis Grants and Community Care Grants.

To be successful in this role you will have moderate administration experience and a proven record of dealing with front line enquiries in a busy customer service environment. The successful candidates will demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and good communication, literary and numeracy skills.

You will be expected to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision but also contribute as part of the team while displaying a positive attitude and be flexible with the ranger of work required to be a success in the team.

An IRRV Benefits Technician or equivalent qualification, experience of working with Open Revenues and document imaging software and experience of processing claims / applications are considered desirable.

Work Pattern:

Monday to Thursday - 08:45 to 16:45

Friday - 08:45 to 16:15
